✨Did You Know Wednesday✨
For this DYK Wednesday I'm sharing some of my favorite animal fun facts!
🐶Dalmatians aren't born with spots! They are born white with spots appearing after one week of age.
🐾Dogs sweat through their paw pads! The sweat glands on their paw pads release pheromones and help them tell other pups they've been there! It's also the only place dogs are able to sweat.
🐱Cats don't have a collarbone, which is part of how they're able to be so liquid like.
🐈⬛Adult cats only meow to communicate with humans! Kittens will meow to communicate a need with their mother but adult cats don't usually meow to communicate with each others, just to communicate with humans!
🪳Fleas can jump 350 times their body length
🦋Butterflies can taste with their feet
🐻Tardigrades, also known as water bears, are microscopic animals that are nearly indestructible. They can survive functional absolute zero, over 40,000 pascals of pressure and even the vacuum of space. Also they're adorable
🦖There is less time between the existence of the T-Rex and humans (65 million years), than the Stegosaurus and the T-Rex (85 million years)
🦇Bats are the only mammal capable of flight
