Toby
In a PAACT Foster Home
Garfield and Toby came into care as part of a seizure involving 14 animals. Despite a difficult and uncertain start, both have shown incredible resilience, each in their own unique way—and both are waiting to find safe, loving homes where they can continue to grow, trust, and truly thrive.
Toby:
Toby is an affectionate young boy estimated to be 3 years old. He is also neutered, fully vaccinated, and thriving in care.
After being confined to a single bedroom prior to intake, Toby has blossomed into a warm, trusting companion who simply wants to feel safe and loved. He forms deep bonds with his people and is happiest when he can be close—making him a true “Velcro” companion.
Toby is lovingly known as the household “Biscuit Master,” kneading contentedly whenever he feels safe and relaxed. He has a soft, unique purr and a gentle nature—his claws and nibbles are remarkably delicate, reflecting his kind temperament.
He enjoys both playtime and peaceful moments, often curling up beside his person or soaking in a sunny spot. He would do best in a home where someone is around often, as companionship is very important to him.
Toby also has excellent litter habits and appreciates a clean, consistent environment, which helps him feel secure as he continues adjusting to home life.
Both Garfield and Toby have come a long way from where they started. Their progress is a reflection of resilience, patience, and the capacity animals have to heal when given safety and care.
They are now ready for the next chapter—homes where they will be cherished, understood, and given the stability they deserve.
If you are looking to welcome a loving companion into your life, Garfield or Toby may be the perfect match.

Garfield:
Garfield is a bright, playful 1-year-old kitten who has been neutered and fully vaccinated. He has made remarkable progress in learning what it means to feel safe with people.
For much of his early life, Garfield understood touch only as play. Now, he is beginning to discover that gentle affection can be comforting—and he is starting to seek it out from the people he trusts. With continued patience and kindness, he is quickly building confidence and forming meaningful connections.
He is wonderfully gentle—soft with his claws, delicate with his nibbles, and full of natural “cat smarts.” His tail is becoming beautifully fluffy, and his favourite toys are springs and pompoms, which he chases with endless enthusiasm.
As his confidence grows, Garfield has also begun enjoying quiet moments—curling up nearby or even sleeping in bed with his person. He offers a beautiful balance of playful energy and tender companionship.
They are now ready for the next chapter—homes where they will be cherished, understood, and given the stability they deserve.

Max & Marvan
** In a PAACT Foster Home**
Some stories begin in crisis.
Max and Marvan’s story is one of survival, devotion, and quiet resilience.
When Max first came into care, the veterinarian he had seen advised that he was completely blocked with urinary crystals and was dying from a heart murmur. Thankfully, a member of our team with experience in similar cases encouraged a second opinion. That decision made all the difference — and gave Max the chance he deserved.
Max was treated appropriately. He recovered. He thrives. And through it all, Marvan never left his side.
These two are more than housemates — they are anchored to one another. When Max rests, Marvan settles close. When Marvan hesitates, Max gives him courage. They move through the world as a pair, steadying each other in ways only bonded companions can.
Max is the social butterfly — affectionate, confident, and quick to lean into your hand for more love. Marvan is just as loving and playful, sharing that same silky softness and sweet temperament — he simply takes a brief moment to warm up. Once he feels safe, he is every bit as affectionate as Max, happily climbing onto your shoulder or joining in the charm that the two of them so effortlessly bring into a room.
They have already endured uncertainty. They have already faced the possibility of goodbye. What they deserve now is permanence — a home where their bond is protected, where their medical history is respected, and where they will never again have to wonder what comes next.
They are not just looking for a home. They are waiting for their person — someone who understands that love sometimes comes in twos.
Max and Marvan will only be placed together. Separating them is not an option. Their relationship is part of their healing and part of their magic.
If you have room in your heart and your home for a pair whose love has already withstood so much, please reach out to PAACT to learn more about welcoming these remarkable boys into your life.
Because sometimes the most beautiful bonds are the ones that almost didn’t get the chance to continue.
Hobbes & Bandit
** IN A PAACT FOSTER HOME **
Bandit & Hobbes have now been in foster care for nearly a year. And they are more than ready for a forever home—together.
These two have come such a long way and are now thriving in foster care, showing just how loving, resilient, and connected they truly are.
Bandit, the long-haired sweetheart, has fully blossomed. His coat is now soft and healthy, and what was once a necessary part of his care—brushing—has become something he genuinely enjoys. He leans in, relaxed and content, soaking up the attention. With his confidence restored, he moves through his days with ease and quiet affection.
Hobbes, his short-haired companion, is the steady and nurturing presence of the pair. He is deeply affectionate, loves making biscuits, and is happiest curled up in a warm, cozy space near his people. His calm, grounded nature brings a sense of comfort to those around him—especially Bandit.
Together, they are beautifully in sync.
Hobbes offers reassurance and calm, while Bandit brings softness and warmth. They are social, gentle, and clearly accustomed to a loving home. They use their litter boxes reliably, enjoy their water fountain, and are continuing to explore wet food with growing interest.
They spend their days relaxing side by side, seeking affection, and simply enjoying being safe, cared for, and together.
Now, they’re ready for the next step—a home to call their own.
If you are looking for a bonded pair who will bring companionship, comfort, and quiet joy into your home, Bandit and Hobbes may be the perfect fit.

Adoption Fee Information
PAACT’s adoption fees start at $100 and are determined on a case-by-case basis, depending on the care and support each animal has received. Fees help offset veterinary expenses, supplies, and the coordination involved in safe, ethical placements—though they often cover only a portion of actual costs.
As a volunteer-run nonprofit, all adoption fees are reinvested directly into animal care and welfare.
Adoption fees are non-refundable and do not guarantee adoption. Every placement is carefully reviewed to ensure the best possible match and to prioritize the long-term well-being of each animal.
If you are interested in adopting more than one animal or have any questions, please contact support@paact.ca.
