At PAACT, our events are more than just gatherings - they are moments of connection, community, and compassion. Whether we are going to be at a market, assembling Frosty Paws shelters to protect stray cats in winter, distributing supplies through our Care Closet, or hosting heartfelt fundraisers for animals in need, every event is a chance to create real, meaningful change.
Proceeds from any and all events go directly to support local animals in need!

Have you ever wondered what fostering really looks like, or how community-based animal advocacy works beyond traditional rescue models? Join us for a Foster & PAACT Information Night designed to offer clarity, transparency, and honest conversation about how we support pets and their people in Southern Alberta.
During this session, we will walk through:
• Who PAACT is and why our model focuses on early intervention and keeping pets at home whenever possible
• Our foster programs, including emergency, temporary, and longer-term placements
• What supports fosters receive, and what expectations and boundaries look like
• Volunteer and community advocacy opportunities beyond fostering
• How our Care Closet, rehoming support, and crisis programs work together to prevent unnecessary surrender
🎁 Entry: Free to attend
Optional donations for PAACT’s Care Closet are welcome but never required. All donations directly support local pet owners experiencing temporary hardship.
This is a pressure-free, informational session. Attending does not commit you to fostering or volunteering. Our goal is to ensure anyone interested has the knowledge they need to make an informed, compassionate decision.
💜 Questions are encouraged, curiosity is welcome, and community connection is at the heart of it all.

Pawtraits in the Park
with a Twist!
Saturday, May 16th, 2026, from 10:00am to 2:00pm
Henderson Lake (Next to the big park!)
We are excited to bring something special to Pawtraits in the Park on Saturday, May 16th, from 10:00am to 2:00pm! Join us at Henderson Lake (near the main park area) in Lethbridge and treat your pet to a professional photo session—while giving back to pets in need.
✨ How it works:
• Bring your pet and receive 4 professional digital photos
• Participate by either:
– Donating items to PAACT’s Care Closet, or
– Making a $20 donation
💜 Extra Support on Site:
We will also have pre-packaged emergency Care Closet kits available for individuals or families who may be in need. If you are struggling, you are welcome to stop by!
This event is about celebrating the bond we share with our pets while ensuring support reaches those who need it most.
We can’t wait to see you and your furry companions there!

Summer Bottle Drive!

Supporting local pets and the people who love them
Help turn your empties into lifesaving support for animals in our community. PAACT is hosting a city-wide bottle drive to raise funds for essential programs that keep pets safe, healthy, and at home during times of hardship.
Every bottle and can donated helps fund initiatives such as emergency foster support, the Care Closet, and community-based animal advocacy across Lethbridge.
📅 Date: Tuesday July 7th, 2026
⏰ Important Timing: Bottles must be out by 9:00 AM
📍 Location: Within the City of Lethbridge only
How to Participate

PAACT is excited to invite our community to one of our most anticipated events of the year — Second Chances, Second Treasures, our annual garage sale fundraiser. This event brings people together to support local animals in a meaningful, hands-on way.
Browse a wide selection of gently used items while making a direct impact in your community. Every dollar raised goes directly toward supporting pets and their people through PAACT’s community-based programs, including emergency assistance, foster care, rehoming support, and access to essential resources.
This fundraiser plays a vital role in helping keep pets safe, supported, and out of shelters—especially during times of crisis or transition. Whether you are shopping, donating items, or simply helping spread the word, your support truly makes an imPAACT.
