Tail End Journey Adoptables!

Sometimes life changes in the blink of an eye. Financial hardship, illness, housing changes, or other unexpected circumstances can leave devoted pet owners facing one of the most difficult decisions of their lives. When rehoming becomes the only option, an animal's future should not be left to chance in an already overwhelmed shelter and rescue system. Every pet deserves the opportunity to transition directly into a safe, loving home where they can thrive.

Through PAACT's Tail End Journey, we provide a compassionate, structured home-to-home rehoming process designed to help pets transition safely into carefully matched forever homes. Rather than entering a shelter or rescue, pets remain with their current families until a suitable adopter is found, reducing unnecessary stress and providing a smoother, more comfortable transition for everyone involved.

Every animal featured below is searching for a loving forever home. By adopting through Tail End Journey, you are not only changing the life of one pet—you are also helping reduce overcrowding in local shelters and rescues, promoting responsible pet ownership, and giving another family the comfort and peace of mind of knowing their beloved companion has found a safe, loving, and carefully matched forever home.

To help ensure the best possible match, all prospective adopters must complete an adoption application before a meet and greet can be arranged. Applications are carefully reviewed alongside information provided by each pet's current family, including their personality, medical history, behaviour, daily routine, and individual needs. Depending on the case, the adoption process may also include reference checks, veterinary verification, and an in-person home visit to help create safe, compatible, and lasting placements for both pets and adopters.

Take a look through our adoptable pets below—you may just meet your newest family member!

While he has a calm and easygoing side, Angel is far from lazy. He is incredibly playful and loves chasing toys, exploring, and enjoying all the fun that comes with being a young cat. He balances his playful energy with a relaxed, affectionate temperament that makes him a wonderful companion.

Angel prefers affection on his own terms and likes to be the one who initiates cuddles and pets. His fascination with water is one of his most entertaining traits and never fails to make people laugh.

True to his name, Bolt was a cautious kitten who would "bolt" whenever unfamiliar people entered the room. While he can still be a little shy when meeting new people, all he really needs is a bit of patience and time. Once he feels safe and comfortable, his affectionate side shines through and he quickly becomes a loving, devoted companion.

Bolt enjoys being involved in everything happening around him and takes his self-appointed role as household supervisor very seriously. Whether you're working, cooking, cleaning, or relaxing, he'll likely be nearby making sure everything is running according to his standards.
